SynodicAC terms of use
The fair-play rules SynodicAC enforces in Synodic Studio's Roblox games, and what happens if they are broken.
Last updated
Play fair and you will rarely notice SynodicAC. Cheat, exploit or attack the game and it may move you back, kick you or ban you. If you think it made a mistake, appeal and a person will look at it. These terms apply whenever you play one of our Roblox experiences or visit the SynodicAC status page.
01
Who we are
Synodic Studio ("Synodic", "we", "us"), a studio based in Aarhus, Denmark, makes the Roblox experiences SynodicAC protects and runs the status page at ac.synodicstudio.com. You can reach us at contact@synodicstudio.com.
Synodic Studio is a trade name rather than a registered company. Nothing here should be read as a statement that a registered entity of that name exists.
02
What SynodicAC is
SynodicAC is our in-house, server-side anticheat. It runs only in Synodic Studio's own Roblox experiences. It is not a product: we do not sell it, license it or offer it to other developers.
By playing one of our experiences, you accept that SynodicAC checks how you play and that these terms apply to you.
03
Fair-play rules
When you play our experiences, you must not:
- use exploits or any other third-party software that changes how the game works;
- use speed, fly, teleport or similar hacks;
- spam remotes or otherwise flood the game server with requests;
- use bots, macros or other automation to play for you;
- abuse bugs or glitches to gain an advantage, or share them so others can.
If you find a bug, report it at support.synodicstudio.com instead of using it. Reports help us fix problems for everyone.
04
Enforcement
If SynodicAC or our staff find that you have broken these rules, we may:
- rubberband you, which moves your character back to an earlier position;
- kick you from the server;
- ban you from the experience, including all its places, either for a set time or permanently.
Bans are applied through Roblox's own ban system. Roblox may extend a ban to your alternate accounts, and we do not exclude them. Trying to get around a ban with another account is itself a breach of these rules.
We decide at our discretion which action fits a breach, taking into account how serious it is and whether it has happened before. If you are justifiably banned, you are not entitled to compensation for lost progress, items or purchases, including Robux spent in the experience.
05
Mistakes and appeals
Automatic checks can get things wrong, for example because of severe lag. If you think an action against you was a mistake, open an appeal at support.synodicstudio.com. A member of our staff, not a machine, reviews every appeal.
06
No guarantee of detection
SynodicAC makes cheating harder, but no anticheat catches everything. We do not promise that every cheater will be detected or that our games will be free of cheating at all times. If you see someone cheating, report them through support.synodicstudio.com.
07
Protecting the anticheat
You must not:
- reverse-engineer, decompile or try to work out how SynodicAC's checks work in order to get around them;
- attack, probe, overload or try to gain unauthorised access to SynodicAC, its API, its status page or the servers they run on;
- send fake data to SynodicAC or impersonate one of our game servers.
We may block access, ban accounts and take further action where the law allows if you do.
08
The status page
The status page at ac.synodicstudio.com is provided for information, "as is" and "as available". The numbers on it are overall figures and may be delayed or incomplete. We may change or remove the page at any time.
09
Roblox
Our experiences run on Roblox. Roblox's Terms of Use and Community Standards apply alongside these terms, and Roblox can take its own action against your account under them.
Synodic Studio is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Roblox Corporation or Discord Inc. Roblox and Discord are trademarks of their respective owners.
10
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of progress, items or data, arising from SynodicAC or the status page. Our total liability for any claim relating to them is limited to one hundred euros (EUR 100).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Danish or EU law, including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct. If you are a consumer, you keep all rights that mandatory consumer protection law gives you.
11
Personal data
How SynodicAC handles personal data is described in the SynodicAC privacy policy at www.synodicstudio.com/privacy/anticheat.
12
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Danish law, and the courts of Denmark have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may also bring proceedings there.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Most problems are solved faster through support.synodicstudio.com or contact@synodicstudio.com.
13
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they were last revised, and we announce material changes on www.synodicstudio.com and in our Discord server. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.
