Challenge
Finding a Minecraft skin or cape usually means trawling mirror sites and guessing whether a file still works. The catalogue had to make any skin previewable in seconds and linkable from anywhere.
Approach
Skins and capes live behind one API with a render service in front of it, so a preview, a download and an embedded render all come from the same source. The front end is a thin Next.js app that caches aggressively and keeps search fast enough to type through.

Results
- 3D preview and download for every skin and OptiFine cape in the library
- Shareable render links usable outside the site
- Trending view built from live skin changes across players
